CloudBerry Online Backup with Google Cloud Storage

This video shows how to use CloudBerry Online Backup with Google Cloud Storage to back up live data. In the video, I’m using the real-time backup schedule option and the VSS (Volume Shadow Copy Service) feature to back up memoQ translation memories even when they are open and in use in memoQ. Also see my video on Google Cloud Storage on how to activate the service in the Google console and where to find the access key and the secret key needed by CloudBerry.

Great explanations,Dominique, but I feel exhausted just at the thought of the time and attention that are necessary to organise and consult the data to be saved.
    Isn’t Dropbox easier?

You can use Dropbox, of course. Or the new Google Drive, which is very similar. However, these are primarily solutions for syncing your data between several devices, not backup solutions. Cloudberry Online Backup is like a conventional backup program, except that it lets you backup to the cloud. It does require some initial work, like opening an account with Amazon (Amazon S3) or Google (Google Cloud Storage) etc. and creating a backup plan. However, once it is done, you can pretty much forget about it. IMO, it’s better (more flexible and cheaper) that packaged solutions such as Acronis Online Backup, Norton 360 or F-Secure Online Backup, to name a few.
